SAY..,jus came back from mission trip. Wanna thank GOD for bringing us around and back to s'pore safely,and oso for the things tat he has done during the trip.Was really an enjoyable trip,wif SQ,qingying,eatin partner(charis),bre,eugene (MHM 1),caleb aka TGL,leslie,aaron and judy.Had time of laughter and fun,but time for ministry too..ha.
So here's the rough idea of wad we CHIANGMAI ROARS did in thailand...
Day 1
went church in the morning,did flashing for youth worship and heading up for main service,after tat rushed to the airport to meet up wid the rest of the chiangmai roars,john and gang including jireh and gang came to see us off...ha.was guzzling in the plane..,after my first round of food,asked for 2 more sharing,cos one is for eatingpartner and SQ to share and the other one for me and bre to share,but they only have one left so,we only took one.ha.and the air stewardess was like sniggering at us..ha.reached chiangmai international airport safe and sound,uncle ricky was there to pick us up,to bring us to CCO.once we reached there and settle down,back to guzzlin mode again,cos it was dinner already.we abandoned the idea of going night bazaar to prep for the teaching stuffs and skits.
Day 2
QY and eugene(MHM 1) came today.Jus before we head out to pray for healin upon this boy.after tat came back to get stuff and ruched down to teach kids at the nearby schl jus beside the CCO.and SAY eugene has realised his true calling,to be teacher..ha.came back for lunch,den head out again for prayer walk to a temple of some sorts.in the night had chapel service wif the CCO kids.ha.was really fun..,played around wif the kids,and everyone was getting tickled at the waist.ha.
Day 3
had elephant ride and bamboo rafting.was FUN i muz say.. am pretty amused wif eatingpartner+SQ's elephant.he kept on going on a guzzling rampage,stopping every few mins to guzzle.and it pee-ed a hell lot i mus say,its like "ALL HELL BREAK LOSE".after tat was bamboo rafting..ha,was hilarious. partnered eatingpartner and SQ.and halfway thru they were soaking wet cos we were splashin water war wif the other boats.i got myself cut among the rocks too.ha.came back and did teaching at another schl.,did the totallyunpreparedsong again,but everything went well.the guys played against a horde of schl boys,and we lost terribly.ha.in the night wen for some cultural dinner.we really guzzle down the food,DRUMSTICKS!!and the girls came out wif the farmer voice on the way back.ha. "i was using my changkol,wen suddenly..."
Day 4
while the girls make cards,the guys did manual labour,farming...me and eugene combined to form MHMs.ha. and we went to changkol the land so we can plant the potted plants.after lunch wen out to teach again..,the kids were restless but the eatingpartner delievered the teaching perfectly..came back and did the memory verses tat are suppose to give to the kids as a form encouragment.last chapel service and night at CCO..,the sharing by leslie and aaron was smooth.sing them "jesus loves the little children" pass the cards and took tons of photos wit them.while washin up.i agree wad eating partner said on her entry,SQ and caleb look rather suspicious.haha.
Day 5
well..,woke up early to spent some time wif the kid for the last time.ha.had breakfast,did some packing up and its off to doisaket.ha.was suppose to do some barn building,but the wood isn't here yet so MHMs wen to shovel sand into rice sacks..,soon the whole team wanted to shovel sand too,so MHMs was upgraded to be slaves drivers.haha.while resting,MHMs,charis,SQ and leslie i think wen ot explore the village,but all the SI BOM DOGS kept barking at us,so we hafta fall back at the learning house.after tat wen carrefour to get some groceries before heading back to our humble guest house.
Day 6
today all we did is levelling the ground.MHMs is back to shovel the sand while the girls built muscles by carrying sand.well..,i got so fascinated by this hugh ants nest,tat it spured me on to look for the queen.den SQ asked me the most retarded question,"have u seen the queen,show me lei?" i was like NO,i myself to haven seen the queen how to show you..lol
den come lunch,had this meat and vege meal..,and u said it eatingpartner,i got a serious sorethroat.ha.at night did the survey.eatingpartner,MHM 1,bre,caleb and me did 7 houses..,fast and speedy.the other team did well too.
Day 7
while eatingpartner typing in th results for the survey,the rest of us wen changkol-ing in the fields.the lady farmer was good,wif one swipe,she had the tree stubs taken out..,scary..for the survey,both teams joined forces to infiltrate the village..,took turns to talk to the familes..,and 5 families accepted Christ i think,wanna thank God for tat..on the way back,all of us talked bout BAGGIN' STRIPS+SNAPPING TOM COMPANY.ha.back at the guesthouse,the girls came over to MHMs' room to talk.eatingpartner helped me wif the writing of songs onto the majong paper.
Day 8
fellowship and teaching at learning house and last ministry for the trip.everything went well even though it was pretty last min.ha.din play soccer wif the guys,help clean up the classroom,and talking wif the girls,and trying to be xtra in their photos,in the end help to score one goal for donno which team ha.at night was shopping at night bazaar.MHMs din eat,we swipe the store like nobody business,and eugene felt hong-namish so we head to the police station to hong nam.we oso bought frenship bands for everyone.the girls bought muscleman cups for the MHMs.ha
Day 9
went up to temple on the mountain.did some prayerwalk there.was good..,even though wasn't very comfortable being in a temple.after had lunch,din really eat the rice + meat.don feel like,so me and eatingpartner bought salad.ah.yummy.at night,went airport central plaza to have jap food..,totally swipe the food,bill came out to be 4k baht.took a pic of eating partner feelinh BOM.ha.after tat was off to the night bazaar.the guys shopped for stuff to give the girls..,farmer hat for SQ,ballerina keychain for Bre,shirt for judy,guitar for QY and flower soap for eatingpartner.but wen we wanna go home,TGL got lost cos he wen to buy stuff for us,and mistook the meeting place,so we panicked.the girls wen back first,while the guys stayed behind and fins him,found him at macs..,silly billy.and this where the saga from day 4.HA.SQ said tat she would throw all her purchases into the SLK aka "mekong" river if PARTNERc could come back. this oso shows tat we love one another,and we will leave no man behind.ha
Day 10
BYE chiangmai,HELLO singapore..well,guzzlin mode in the plane was halted due to insufficient food,dang..,got some sleep at the back seat cos it was pretty an empty flight.
SAY and today wen to airport to pick up QY and eugene,and had sakae sushi.we totally bom the place manz..,we swipe bout 60 over plates.ha.me and eatingpartner were swiping the fried vege dish.ha.we eat till we BOM.i'll post the pics of the mission trip and sakae another time..
